Elco,
Inc. originated as Mac Long Plumbing Company in 1950. Mac's
son, Errol, joined the business in 1971. After Mac's
death in 1977, Errol continued the business as Long Plumbing
Company and later expanded the company to include HVAC and changed
the name to Elco Plumbing, Heating and Air.
In 1990, Matthew Long started at Elco, Inc. becoming the
third generation to join the family business. In 2001
Matthew became certified by the City of Durham for the inspection
of Cross-Connection Control and Backflow Prevention.
